Contour plastic

Contour correction is a procedure which has recently become very interesting for completely different groups of patients. And it is absolutely understandable, since the possibilities of contour correction are very large, and the contour correction itself is not complicated and is easily tolerated by the patients. The result can be seen almost immediately without a long recovery period. The very name of the procedure is indicating its potential. It is the correction of the face relief - filling of the deep dermal bends, furrows, giving a more expressed contour to the cheekbones, superciliary arches, lips, chin, suborbital area and the nose. In fact, volumizing effects can be performed on any soft tissue structures of the face.

The principle of soft tissue volumizing

The procedure involves performing intradermal, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. Tissue fillers are represented by the various preparations, the features of which are the most preferred for the correction of certain areas. This wide range of products with different properties is created on the basis of stabilized hyaluronic acid. Fillers that are based on this acid are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and are easily compatible with body tissues.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the intercellular substance. It is capable of holding a water molecule that provides sufficient tissue hydration. With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in tissues is significantly reduced. The skin, the ligamentous structures and the subcutaneous tissue loses its elasticity, firmness, tissue turgor is being reduced. This is due to the reduction of acid synthesis rates and its accelerated destruction.

Contour correction procedure

First of all, the surgeon evaluates the anatomical aspects of the face, age-related changes and listens to the patient's wishes. As already mentioned, the preparations having differing structural properties are used for correction of different face parts. The required preparation dosages are calculated and selected.

The application anesthesia or conduction anesthesia, is used for pain management; it helps to reduce the pain during the procedure to a minimum.

Duration of manipulation does not exceed 15 minutes. It is performed on an outpatient basis.. An hour later the patient leaves the clinic. Easy flushing, swelling of tissues and traces of injections will withdraw on its own within the first day.

Contour correction of the face with hyaluronic acid retains its effect for the 8-18 months. After this period, the procedure can be repeated.

Contraindications

The procedure is contraindicated during exacerbation of chronic diseases, during pregnancy and breastfeeding period, in the presence of diseases associated with impaired blood clotting and in case of herpetic eruptions
